Message Truth: Never get your Theology from your circumstances.
Theology is the study of God, for the right view of God that leads to faith, intimacy and obedience. (right diagnosis leads to right treatment)
Two Powerful weapons:
- Theology (Bible) is a blueprint
- Prayer – is moving in
Two Destructive Enemies:
- Pride (Individualism) It’s all about us all the time.
- Shortsightedness (myopic vision) Our God is to Small – JB Phillips
Do we a see a King; or a celestial assistant whose primary job was to fix the broken parts of my life. Because we shrink the size of God to our own life, we are asking a small God to fix big fears.
What are the Conditions of this Promise?
1.All things work together for good does NOT equal my expected outcome.
2.All things work together for good is the BIG picture, not the narrow view.
3.All things work together for good because God is good.
4.All things work together for good who love God and live for His purpose.
5.All things work together for good “equals” Gods intended purpose.
