We may still not be meeting together as a church family, but by the end of May we hope to see a gradual return to normal.

Some At Church Meetings Planned

We will meet as a church for our monthly Business Meeting on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00 pm. And the Deacons will meet afterward at 7:00 pm.
We will resume meeting for our Sunday morning worship service on May 31st. We plan to recognize our graduating Seniors, Chase Clayton and Olivia Weems, at that time. We expect everyone to practice Social Distancing, no matter how much we all want to greet each other with hugs and handshakes. Please leave every other pew empty. We will not resume Sunday School yet, so children will stay in the sanctuary with their families. Of course, we will still live stream our service on Facebook. If you are concerned about meeting with us in person at this time, we encourage you to continue to participate with us via online.

Tithes and Donations

Whether we meet physically or online, the expenses of the church continue more or less as usual. We will have collection plates in the back of the sanctuary when we meet for Sunday service until things are closer to being normal. And you may drop off your tithes and donations in a box placed on the office entrance table during office hours. Or you can mail it to the church at PO Box 43,  or pay here online.

We are all praying that life will return to a more normal schedule in June. But there are likely going to be many people in our community who are struggling financially. The Shelby Baptist Association Mobile Food Pantry will be at our church on Tuesday, June 23, from 9:00 am to noon. Please spread the word about this ministry. Anyone who needs this help should call the church office to make an appointment time to get the food.

Prayer Needs

You will find each week’s Prayer List on our church Facebook page and occasionally a special prayer request for specific needs. Plans for VBS were put on hold due to the pandemic, and we currently have no plans to meet. Pray for us that we make the best decisions for the safety and encouragement of our church family and all our ministries.
