What did Jesus Say? (v.28) Come, Take, Learn
1.Come (Draw) – not just try harder but come to me and surrender
We can study the Bible, pray. come to church but never come to Christ- the first is practicing religion to appease God. But you are staying in control and doing everything on your own because we truly do not trust Jesus.
2.Take
In ancient times, a farmer would yoke a young ox to a strong, older one for a difficult task. The yoke’s primary purpose was to allow the two animals to work together. Jesus does not always take away our burden or problem but helps us with the pulling – we don’t pull alone.
3.Learn – If anyone had a reason to be anxious it was Jesus – He knew for a fact what was going to happen to him.
To be like Jesus, we must be with Jesus and imitate Jesus
- Put away distractions
- Go to the mountain (secret place)
- Spend time with the Father
You will find Rest for your Soul
