The Spring Creek Baptist Church was founded in 1845 near Vincent, Alabama.

The church was located in the bend of Spring Creek, on the Blue Spring Road, approximately one quarter mile upstream from the present bridge on County Road 81.

The first building was constructed in 1849 on a shady knoll, with a nice bubbling spring and two streams which provided pools for baptismal services. It was built out of hewn logs with slab shutters over the windows and a huge fireplace at one end to provide heat for the building.
