Message Text: James 1:19-25
James 1:19-20- Because God is Good
- Listen to Him –“everyone should be quick to listen”
- Think before you speak –“slow to speak”
- Be angry at the right things –“slow to become angry
James 1:21 -Because God is Good
- Run and kill the evil around and in you –“get rid of all moral filth and evil that is so prevalent”
- Accept Gods truth –“accept the Word implanted in you which can save you”
James 1:22-25 -Because God is Good
- Obey Him –“Do not merely listen to the Word, but do what it says”
Three Truths of Obedience
1.You must Settle the Authority Question (Authority Principle)
2.Partial Obedience is Disobedience (All in Principle)
3.Obedience Always Brings Blessing (Adventure Principle) – “they will be blessed in what they do”
