Seven Realities of Experiencing God
1. God is always at work around you.
In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am
working.” John 5:17
2. God pursues a continuing relationship with you that is real and personal.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”
Matthew 22:37
3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what
he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” John 5:19
4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the
church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
John 8:47
5. God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that
requires faith and action.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
33 So no one can become my disciple unless he first sits down and counts his blessings—and then renounces
them all for me.” Luke 14:33
7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His
work through you.
Jesus replied, “Because I will only reveal myself to those who love me and obey me. The Father will love them
too, and we will come to them and live with them.” John 14:23
